Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about our programmes, fees, scheduling, and more.
Programmes
What programmes does CodeBridge Africa offer?
We offer four main programmes: Coding for Kids (ages 6+), High School Bridge Program (3-month intensive for graduates), Adults Web Development Masterclass (12 sessions), and Fullstack Web Developer Course (5 months). We also offer Professional IT Services for businesses.
What age groups do you teach?
Our Coding for Kids programme accepts children from age 6 upwards. High School Bridge is for recent graduates (typically ages 16–22). Adults Web Dev and Fullstack are for anyone 18 and above — there is no upper age limit.
Do I need prior coding experience?
No prior experience is needed for any of our beginner programmes. Our Kids and Adults programmes both start from the absolute basics. The Fullstack course also starts from fundamentals, though having done Adults Web Dev first is helpful.
Are programmes online, in-person, or both?
Coding for Kids and Adults Web Dev are fully online. High School Bridge and Fullstack offer in-person, online, and hybrid options. In-person classes are held at our Ashaley Botwe, Accra location.
What tools and software do students need?
For online programmes, students need a personal computer or tablet with a stable internet connection. We use Zoom for live classes. All software we teach (VS Code, Scratch, etc.) is free. For the Kids programme, a tablet is sufficient for the first two stages.

Scheduling
When do classes take place?
Classes run on weekdays and weekends, with morning and afternoon slots. Exact schedules depend on the programme and cohort. You will confirm your preferred slot during enrolment.

What happens if I miss a class?
All live sessions are recorded. If you miss a class, the recording is uploaded to your student portal within 24 hours. We encourage attendance for interactive learning, but recordings ensure no one falls behind.
Can I join mid-programme?
For Coding for Kids, you can join at any time since each month is relatively self-contained. For cohort-based programmes (High School Bridge, Adults Web Dev, Fullstack), we have rolling intake — check with us on the next available start date.
Student Portal
What is the student portal?
The portal (codebridgeafrica.com/portal) is a private dashboard for enrolled students. It shows your class schedule, attendance, progress reports, assignments, payment history, and downloadable certificates.
How do I log in to the portal?
We use a magic-link sign-in — no password needed. Visit /portal/login, enter your registered email, and we will send you a one-time sign-in link. Click the link to access your dashboard.
What if my sign-in link has expired?
Magic links expire after 24 hours. Simply go back to /portal/login and request a new one. You can also request a new link from your profile page inside the portal.
Can parents access the portal?
Currently the portal is for enrolled students only. For Kids programme, parents are encouraged to sit with their child. We plan to add a parent view in a future update.
Certificates & Outcomes
Do I get a certificate on completion?
Yes. Every student who completes their programme receives a digital certificate that can be shared on LinkedIn, added to a portfolio, and downloaded as a PDF. We also award achievement badges for outstanding performance.
Will I be job-ready after completing a programme?
Our Adults Web Dev and Fullstack programmes are explicitly designed to get you job-ready. You will build a portfolio of real projects, learn Git and deployment, and receive career guidance. Many graduates have gone on to freelance or secure tech roles.
Is the curriculum updated to industry standards?
Yes. Our curriculum is reviewed regularly to reflect what employers and clients actually need. We teach current tools: React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, GitHub, Vercel, and more.
