When you enrol in a program, buy from us, apply to us, contact us, or use our website and platforms, we may collect the following information:

• Full name, email address, phone / WhatsApp number

• Child's name and age, and parent/guardian details (for children's programs)

• Payment records — amounts, references and dates (card and mobile money details are handled by Paystack; we never see or store full card numbers)

• Delivery address and phone number for store orders that need delivery

• Learning records — attendance, progress, quiz results, project submissions, teacher feedback and certificates, including for online courses

• Scholarship applications, including what you tell us about your financial circumstances

• Internship and job applications — your background, links to your CV, LinkedIn, GitHub or portfolio, and interview notes

• Sponsor and donor details, if you sponsor a learner

• Messages and enquiries sent through our website, email or WhatsApp

• Technical data such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited

We use the information we collect to:

• Process enrolments, orders, deliveries and course access

• Communicate with you about class schedules, updates, and announcements by email and WhatsApp

• Send invoices, receipts, download links, and payment reminders, and run monthly billing you have authorised

• Share progress and reports with parents/guardians of enrolled children

• Assess scholarship, internship and job applications

• Respond to enquiries and provide customer support

• Measure and improve our website, advertising, programs, and services

• Prevent fraud and spam, and comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations

Inside CodeBridge Africa, access is limited by role. Instructors see the students they teach; finance staff see payment records; and so on.

Our interns (business development, marketing, accounting, web development and fullstack) work under staff supervision and are given access only to the information their tasks require. Interns must keep that information confidential, during and after their internship.

We never use a child's photo, name or project in marketing without a parent's or guardian's consent.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only with service providers who help us run our services, and only what they need:

• Paystack — payment processing (and, if you choose a monthly plan, a secure token to charge your saved card or mobile money account)

• Supabase — secure database and file storage

• Vercel and Cloudflare — website hosting and security

• Resend and Google (Gmail) — sending emails

• Meta (WhatsApp Business) — sending class and payment messages on WhatsApp

• AI providers (such as Google Gemini, Groq, OpenAI and Anthropic) — some internal staff tools use AI to draft content and summarise information; we send only what the task needs

• Delivery riders or couriers — your name, phone and address, for store deliveries

We may also share information when required by law or to protect our legal rights. Sponsors receive general updates about the learners they fund, not private details, unless the learner (or their parent/guardian) agrees.

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We use encrypted connections, access controls, hashed passwords, and expiring links for downloads and sign-in, and limit staff and intern access by role.

However, no method of internet transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in and to understand how the site is used.

• Essential cookies: required for sign-in, checkout and the student, parent and learner portals

• Analytics: Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity help us understand page views, traffic sources and how visitors use pages (Clarity may record anonymised mouse movements and clicks)

• Advertising: the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel helps us measure our ads and show them to people likely to be interested

• Embedded videos: our video gallery plays YouTube videos in privacy-enhanced mode; YouTube (Google) may set cookies once you press play

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

Some of our programs are designed for children aged 6 and above. We collect information about children only with the consent of their parent or guardian, who must complete the enrolment process on the child's behalf.

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately.

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you

• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data

• Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal obligations), including from your student portal

• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time, using the unsubscribe link in our emails or by messaging us

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.

We retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, or as required by law. Enrolment, payment and order records may be retained for up to 5 years for accounting and tax purposes. Unsuccessful scholarship, internship and job applications are kept for up to 12 months so we can consider you for future openings, then deleted.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites (such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and partner offers). We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any external sites you visit.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
